Sustaining and maintaining skills after any learning and development experience is important when striving to improve job performance. However, sustainability is not just for training.

All implemented initiatives must be sustained in order to leverage the investment on initiatives and contribute to leadership development and team member performance levels. Sustainability skills are about helping participants understand how to get the most from training and how to integrate the learning into the workplace by focusing team members on sustaining important initiatives. Sustainability is a flexible process that can begin prior to a learning event, carried on throughout a learning event’s duration, and continues after the formal event is complete.
