Most organizations get results and accomplish important tasks, projects, and strategies using teams and work groups. However, many teams do not function at peak performance levels, even though they have the potential to do so. We understand that effective teamwork can be challenging to attain and maintain. CMOE’s High-Performance Teamwork workshop gives teams or team leaders the skills and tools they need to address and overcome many common team performance issues:

  • Establishing clear goals and roles
  • Communication and information flow
  • Cohesiveness and unity
  • Trust
  • Innovation and creativity
  • Maximizing resources
  • Accountability
  • Productivity and efficiency

High-Performance Teamwork is a powerful, experience-based workshop that helps participants build and sustain a high-performance team, as well as helping the individual team member or leader develop high performance teamwork skills. The experiential nature of the training, combined with sound adult-learning methods, ensures an exciting and memorable event where participants focus on teamwork skills that are useful and can be applied to their specific teams. Participants leave the learning experience with an integrated set of skills, knowledge, and plans to renew team spirit, enhance teamwork, increase team performance, and improve team leadership. When these skills are applied, teams become stronger, more productive, and more aligned in purpose than ever before.

We chose CMOE for their expertise in improving team performance and relationships. Their teamwork program was a transformative experience, offering valuable insights into our individual differences and how they affect success. — James Johnson

Our Approach

The High-Performance Teamwork learning event is tailored for intact teams, cross-functional teams, team leaders, or a mixed group of individuals. Each workshop is customized to address precise team challenges and needs. The experiential nature of the workshop exercises, case studies, assessments, tools, and discussions, combined with the program content, allows participants to focus their attention on the team’s opportunities for improvement as well as team strengths that can be leveraged. In this workshop, participants don’t just learn important team skills—they also spend time addressing real team issues and developing solutions and plans to improve the team’s performance. The comprehensive team assessment taken prior to the event supports the learning and pinpoints specific data about the inner workings and overall health of the participants’ teams.

High-Performance Teamwork is based on extensive and ongoing research and our book, The Team Approach: With Teamwork Anything Is Possible, which was written by Steven J. Stowell, Ph.D. (CMOE’s Founder and President) and Stephanie S. Mead, MBA (CMOE’s Senior Vice President).

Team Data Helps Drive Team Results

For those looking to take their team to the next level, The Team Alignment Survey™ is a tool designed to provide a team with baseline data about its overall health and performance. The Team Alignment Survey™ analyzes seven dimensions of team performance and provides a targeted diagnosis of strengths as well as issues, challenges, and underlying conditions that are impacting the team’s performance.

Upon completion of the Team Alignment survey, teams receive a customized report that pinpoints

  1. Areas where team strengths exist and they are performing well
  2. Areas that are neutral (not a strength or a challenge)
  3. Areas where team opportunities, issues, and challenges exist.

This summary report sets the stage for teams to initiate change and begin a journey to increase effectiveness and obtain better results.

Based on more than 40 years of research and work with teams across the globe and applicable to a team of any size and type, the Team Alignment Survey™ is the tool of choice for industry leaders looking to drive results and build more resilient, performance-oriented teams.

“Team leadership means exercising positive influence that inspires individual members to willingly work together to achieve collective goals.”
