Like all of our coaching-focused training programs, the Coaching Skills Workshop: Advanced Coaching for Performance and Results helps coaches initiate positive, measurable changes in team member commitment and empowerment, improvement in quality, and bottom-line results. The program is designed to apply to all types of coaching applications that coaches face, including coaching for performance, coaching for development as well as coaching for change and reinforcement. More than ever before, today’s organizations must respond to competitive pressures and challenging economic times. They must learn to operate in more-effective ways, so leaders within these organizations must become partners and be willing to coach others to achieve the outcomes that are critical to the business’ success. By expanding their knowledge base and building upon their existing capabilities, CMOE’s advanced coaching workshop helps leaders empower their people and unleash the discretionary performance of their team members.

Objectives & Outcomes

In the Coaching Skills workshop, participants learn how to

  • Build on their existing coaching and communication skills and use the flexible coaching process presented in all kinds of situations that require effective communication.
  • Maximize team-member performance through encouraging improvements and leading others through

  • Motivate the people they coach to actively seek out opportunities to contribute more to the organization,
  • and enhance employee engagement and commitment to the business.
  • Resolve differences, handle team-member resistance, and confront excuses in a constructive manner.
  • Help people accept, adjust to, and acquire personal ownership of organizational change.
  • Conduct developmental and non-performance-related coaching sessions.
  • Build positive and supportive relationships with team members.
  • Coach in formal situations as well as during informal, on-the-spot opportunities.

Our Approach

Using CMOE’s innovative design methods and a combination of discussions, presentations, practice, and opportunities for practical application, participants build a deeper understanding of how to influence others and use consistent coaching in new and more-effective ways. Participants leave the program with renewed motivation to build coaching relationships with others and the skills and confidence effective managers need to successfully coach others. The basis of the Coaching Skills: Advanced Coaching for Performance and Results workshop is The Coach: Creating Partnerships for a Competitive Edge, a book that was researched and co-authored by the Founder and President of CMOE, Dr. Steven J. Stowell, Ph.D. The Coach was the first book on the topic of coaching that was written specifically for leaders at any level in the organization. As part of the Coaching Skills workshop, participants also receive a copy of our book, Win-Win Partnerships: Be on the Leading Edge with Synergistic Coaching. This book specifically addresses a successful coaching approach to build healthy relationships and communicate well with others. Like The Coach, Win-Win Partnerships was also co-authored by CMOE’s Founder, Dr. Steven J. Stowell, Ph.D.

Delivery Options

The Advanced Coaching program is available in a number of different formats, giving our clients the flexibility to choose the option that works best for them:

Instructor-led training (delivered onsite by a CMOE subject matter expert/facilitator)
Digital learning program (self-paced or live)
Blended and layered solution (combining instructor-led training and digital learning)
Train the trainer services (certifying internal trainers in CMOE's world-class programs)
Curriculum integration (deliver the topic in conjunction with another topic or event or build it into a development curriculum)
4-16 hours (8 hours preferred) for instructor-led variable for digital learning

Typically this program is delivered in a one or two-day format; however, the length of this course is flexible and can be adjusted to fit the unique needs of the audience. CMOE offers Train-the-Trainer services for clients who prefer to have an internal facilitator deliver the Advanced Coaching workshop material. The program can also be built into an internal curriculum or development series.
