Soft Skills Development: 7 Essentials for Leadership Success
“Soft skills” is a term that might not inspire much confidence. Perhaps...
Today, building an organization filled with people who have a collective vision is one of the most important functions of management. Help your managers learn how to build this unified vision with a corporate leadership training program from CMOE.
Making Leaders Out Of Individuals
CMOE has been conducting corporate leadership training workshops and learning events for over three decades. We have used our time in this industry to refine our programs through continual research and development and we have developed high-impact learning initiatives that have a proven track record of success.
Leadership is not a skill a manager can learn from a book; it requires hands-on experience. We bring leadership principles to life, teaching participants skills they can easily transfer to the workplace.
CMOE’s corporate leadership training workshops, programs, and retreats are designed to provide experiences that will help participants internalize the leadership skills they learn.
We design and develop all of our programs around six core elements that take multiple adult learning styles into account. By using these elements to shape our programs, participants become engaged in their own learning.
Programs are categorized into two distinct areas that will help your managers learn specific skills that will transfer to their working environments. They are called First Tier Programs and Second Tier Programs.
First Tier Programs
CMOE’s flagship learning events include the core competencies and skill sets typically needed by our clients. These programs include topics such as Coaching Skills, Teamwork, Leadership Development, Business Acumen, Qualities of Leadership, Strategic Thinking, and more. Because these skills are crucial to a business’ success we have structured these courses to range from four hours to two or more days in length. These First-Tier Programs are full of experiential activities and engaging learning.
Second Tier Programs
This tier tends to require less time for delivery, but are no less important than First-Tier Programs. These learning events explore topics such as Communication, Trust, Conflict, Delegation, Change, Innovation, Giving Feedback, Influencing Others, and Flexible Leadership, among many others.
CMOE’s Unique Touch
Whether you are interested in conducting a learning session for top-level executives or front-line supervisors, CMOE has the capability and experience to tailor what we teach for team members at all levels of the organization. Through a collaborative analysis of your organization, we can help develop learning events that are exceptionally relevant to your organization’s goals, challenges and culture. Following any programs we deliver, we work closely with you to ensure long-term application and sustained change that drives performance.

“Influence is a process of learning from others, forming alliances, and creating shared solutions and ideas. Influence involves moving people to a solution that they currently do not see or hold. The influence process can be a subtle (subconscious) process that attracts little attention and consumes little drama or energy, or it can be more structured. It is a part of who we are and how we relate to others.”
“Feedback skills are not innate. Giving and receiving interpersonal feedback are artful skills that can be developed over time.”
“Tell me, I’ll forget. Show me, I may remember. But involve me and I’ll understand.”~ Chinese Proverb
