If you are to tie this back to the psychological, biological aspect of human beings, win is the fight and minimize is the flight response. You’ve heard of those? Fight, Flight? We all do it.
We usually have a combination of two, when confronted with challenging, difficult conversations we want to fight, we want to win we want to get people to see things our way and agree with us.
The way that looks in conversation is we argue, I dismiss you points of view, I do very little listening and again, I’m kind of wedded to the idea that I’m right and your wrong.
