We’re excited to announce the results of CMOE’s annual Top Socially Shared Leadership Blogs List, aka top 100 leadership blogs.
If you’re not already familiar with our list, here’s how it works: we gather all leadership blog posts from across the Internet for a given period of time. This year we decided to change it up a bit; instead of doing a calendar year, we pulled our data from June 1st, 2016 through May 30th, 2017.
Once we have the blogs (and their posts for the time period we’ve selected) we grab all the social-sharing data for each post and total it up for each blog. The list is then sorted by the most social shares, allowing us to determine the top leadership blogs that will be included in these lists.
Twitter and Facebook had recently changed their tweet-count and social-engagement-count features, so we thought we wouldn’t be able to get social-sharing data for either of those social networks this year. However, we discovered that, certain applications are still able to pay to access that information, so we were able to include the Facebook and Twitter numbers after all!
Though this method of ranking leadership blogs isn’t perfect, we believe it to be a fairly objective approach. However, we’re certain that there are some great leadership blogs that should be on this list that aren’t. If you know of one that you’d like us to consider for future lists, please contact us at [email protected]
